About the conference

The second MISS conference, held virtually during the pandemic, with accepted papers published in Springer's Algorithms for Intelligent Systems series.

The conference brings together leading academicians, scientists, industry experts and researchers from around the world, with keynote talks and tutorials by internationally renowned experts. Machine intelligence gives a system the ability to learn and to handle new situations, so that it shows attributes of reason such as generalization, discovery, association and abstraction. Its main paradigms are neural networks, evolutionary computation, swarm intelligence, fuzzy systems and immunological computation. They are ideal tools for knowledge discovery from data in complex systems, with applications in agriculture, defence, manufacturing, biomedical and healthcare systems, and education.

  • Each paper is screened by the conference chairs for scope, format and plagiarism, then double-blind reviewed by 2–3 experts. Authors are notified of one of three decisions: accept, accept with minor changes, or reject.
  • At least one author of each accepted paper must register and present. Papers are published only after the registration fee is paid.

Special sessions

Proposals for special sessions are invited from academicians and industry experts. A proposal should include the session title, an abstract of up to 200 words, the tracks to be covered, the session chair(s) with contact details, the expected number of papers (minimum 8) and a tentative program committee. Each accepted special session has a Best Paper Award, and the primary session chair is offered 2AC train travel and accommodation during the session.
